420 The History And Its Extreme Usefulness

I just googled the meaning of 420, according to the Internet, in 1971 teenagers in Cali coined the term. They called themselves the Waldos because they smoked next to a wall. These teens then heard a rumor about an abandoned weed crop and had code words for meetings about finding the abandoned crop.  Their secret meetings always took place at 4:20.  This has come in extra handy for me lately because google adwords and facebook ads have now outlawed using the words weed and marijuana in your ad copy.  Now pretty much everyone is utilizing 420 for their ads.  THANK YOU WALDOS!

The Key To All Edibles - Cannabutter

The key to all edibles is good cannabutter.

Canna butter ingredients:
3 sticks of unsalted butter
1/2 oz. or more marijuana leaves
1/2 cup of water

Tools:
Large pot for boiling
grinder
bowl
strainer
cheesecloth or pantyhose

1. Grind up your buds or leaves.

2. Melt 3 sticks of butter. Heat on low stirring occasionally until melted.

3. Once the butter is melted, add your ground up marijuana, and water. Mix and bring to a simmer with the heat on low and cover.

4. Let your cannabutter simmer for two hours or longer, and no more than 24.  If the mixture looks like it could use some more water during the wait time feel free to add a little bit more.

5. Remove cannabutter from heat and let it cool for five minutes. Pour cannabutter through the strainer into a bowl, to remove marijuana leaves.

6. Next pour cannabutter through a cheesecloth of piece of pantyhose.

7. Cover your bowl and place it into the refrigerator to cool. Pour off any excess water after it has cooled.

Know Your Rights

**

*1. Don't Leave Weed in Plain View*

*2. Never say "Yes" to a search*
Fourth Amendment rights: If a law enforcement officer asks for your
permission to search SAY NO. If you do consent, you waive your
constitutional rights and the officers may search and seize items without
further authorization.

If you do not consent to a search, the officer must either release you or
detain you and attempt to get a warrant. The fact that you refuse to consent
does not give the officer grounds to obtain a warrant or further detain you.

If an officer asks to search you say:

"I do not consent to a search of my [person, baggage, purse, luggage,
vehicle, house, blood, etc.] I do not consent to this contact and do not
want to answer any questions. If I am not under arrest, I would like to go
now (or be left alone)."

*3. You have the right to remain silent*
Whether arrested or not, you should always exercise the right to remain
silent.

*4. Don't Tick Off The Police*
This is way easier said than done but pissing off the police usually doesn't
work well. Being polite and calm will help you.

James Cole Putting Us In The Cold?

Recently, US Attorney General James Cole issued a memo stating:

"Persons who are in the business of cultivating, selling or distributing marijuana, and those who knowingly facilitate such activities, are in violation of the Controlled Substances Act, regardless of state law.  Consistent with resource constraints and the discretion you may exercise in your district, such persons are subject to federal enforcement action, including potential prosecution. State laws or local ordinances are not a defense to civil or criminal enforcement of federal law with respect to such conduct, including enforcement of the CSA. Those who engage in transactions involving the proceeds of such activity may also be in violation of federal money laundering statutes and other federal financial laws."

Basically, the government doesn't like these medical marijuana dispensary owners becoming millionaires.  I think instead of going backwards with the law, they need additional workers to regulate the financial dealings of dispensary owners.  This would help the economy in two ways: more jobs and more tax money.  Did the government really think they could legalize marijuana and people wouldn't want to buy it?
